“Why Harney Elementary?”
Harney has 60 houseless families enrolled who rely heavily on their food pantry for meals. Over summer break, they no longer have access to that food- which is why we are donating all 10,000 meals to these families!
“As a volunteer, what will I be doing?”
You’ll be creating meals, assembly line fashion, for hungry children in Vancouver!
“What do I wear?”
Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes.
“Are there ID or minimum age requirements?”
Children as young as 3 are invited to participate and should be registered. *We are offering free childcare for 6 months old – 3 years old. Please email hello (at) rivercityvancouver.com if you would like to use this service.*
“What can I bring?”
Due to the nature of open food ingredients, no open food or drink will be allowed near meal creation stations.
